The final conference of Roma per Kyoto project, last 18th and 19th
September 2008, involved the environmental personalities from EU Capitals
gathered together in order to share the outcomes of the Project and identify a
common strategy in GHG reduction.
On 18th September the conference was focused on spreading
experiences on GHG reduction from EU Capitals, whilst the 19th there
was a meeting addressed only to political and technical representatives from EU
Capitals
The conference was chaired by the Deputy Mayor for Environment Fabio De Lillo and
offered lot of opportunities for suggestions, remarks and comparisons, describing
an overview on implemented local interventions in CO2 reducing.
All capitals agreed with the significance of cities collaboration and
the common aim of reducing GHG emissions.
The Deputy Mayor De Lillo, highlighting the participative element, said:
“ It’s the joining of all cities that can produce results over the world”.
The conference, organized by Zetema, focused on local solutions for a
global problem that concerns everyone and can be faced only through a
collaborative dialogue among all different stakeholders.
